Disability pension – how it works

If you are ill for a longer period you can receive extra compensation called ITP sjukpension, a disability pension. This is included in your ITP occupational pension.

To be entitled to a disability pension from ITP, you should:

  • be over 18 and have ITP
  • be at least 25% sick listed
  • have been on the sick list for more than 90 consecutive days or have been on the sick list for more than 105 days in different periods over the last 12 months
  • be receiving sickness compensation or activity compensation from Försäkringskassan.
